Concrete Division
Our concrete division have been involved in this specialist work for more than 25 years and cover all aspects of testing, repairing concrete, slip resistant grip systems, sealants and protective coatings.
We are approved to carry out works using FOSROC, Webber, Sika and Ronacrete amongst others.
We offer a good range of concrete repair materials which our operatives are fully trained to use. Lightweight and high-strength pre-bagged mortars can be applied by hand or sprayed. We also use resins for crack injection.
Protective Coating
Most of our coatings are water-based acrylic copolymer protective and decorative coatings for concrete and masonry. It protects exposed reinforced concrete structures, cementious substrates and masonry from aggressive elements, weathering and rain and is suitable for use on all types of structures.
Advantages:
- Excellent barrier to carbon dioxide, chloride ions, oxygen and water
- Allows water vapour to escape from the structure
- High resistance to the effects of long-term weathering and durable in all climatic conditions
- Water-based
- Wide range of decorative colours
Reinforced concrete is a durable building material but like masonry it can deteriorate due to many elements which can cause cracking, resulting in concrete failure. When this occurs corrosion of the steel reinforcement happens, most commonly chloride attack or carbonation.
JWP Can carry out a range of tests:
- Hammer testing
- Carbonation testing
- Chloride testing
- Cover Meter Testing
- Visual Surveys in order to diagnose the cause and extent of concrete failure.
